Experience:
- Facilitated HAZOP and LOPA studies of every process unit of a large oil refinery.
- Performed fire and explosion analyses for a wide range of hydrocarbons, including propane and butane, in oil refinery facility settings. The analyses addressed BLEVE, fire ball, pool fire, flame jet, unconfined vapor cloud explosion, and flame flashback.
- Performed triennial PSM/RMP compliance audits of petroleum refineries.
- Assisted in a root cause analysis of a refinery incident that led to a hydrocarbon spill and the release of trace amounts of toxic gases.
